Guide
Are the powders and syrups ingredients or finished consumer products?
Direct answer: They are B2B ingredients—dry beverage powders and liquid beverage syrups that your production teams measure and prepare into your own finished products. Brief & Branch does not sell prepared coffee, ready-to-drink beverages or finished ice cream.
Who this clarification applies to
This boundary applies to every offer described on this site. It matters to operating food and beverage groups budgeting for branch preparation, procurement and finance teams classifying recurring ingredient supply, and brand or legal owners assigning responsibility for the consumer-facing product.
The program serves qualified business buyers only. It screens for at least 500 kg of powder or 500 L of syrup per flavor and intended order. An operating business below the screen today may be reviewed only when current operating evidence supports a dated near-term path to it. It does not serve consumers, pre-revenue concepts, unsupported forecasts, or buyers seeking prepared drinks, retail bottles or finished ice cream.
Scope of supply at a glance
| The buyer receives | The buyer does not receive |
|---|---|
| Dry beverage powder or liquid syrup ingredient, in bulk or approved private-label packaging | Prepared or made-to-order drinks of any kind |
| An approved ingredient specification agreed before production | Ready-to-drink bottled or canned beverages |
| A branch consistency pack: preparation standard, yield, storage and change control | Finished ice cream, gelato or soft serve |
| A replenishment plan covering forecast, reorder timing and escalation | Consumer drink delivery or retail fulfillment |
| — | Café equipment, machines or furnishings |
Everything in the left column is defined and approved during the program stages. Everything in the right column stays outside the offer, at every stage.
Why the boundary exists
Regulatory clarity
A B2B ingredient and a finished consumer beverage carry different labeling, registration and compliance responsibilities. Keeping the category explicit means each responsibility can be assigned, documented and reviewed with the right owner. Each project’s regulatory scope still has to be confirmed during technical review.
Buyer brand ownership
The beverage your customers order is your product. You set the menu, the preparation, the presentation and the price. Brief & Branch coordinates the ingredient and its specification; the consumer-facing brand and the finished drink remain yours.
Supply discipline
The program is built around approved specifications, credible forecasts and recurring replenishment. That discipline only works when the product is a defined ingredient with a measurable preparation standard. Selling finished drinks would replace that structure with retail mechanics the program is deliberately not built for.
Supplied product: a dry powder or liquid syrup ingredient. Your team prepares the finished beverage, frozen dessert or baked item—we do not sell finished products.
Limitations of this page
This page defines the category and commercial boundary. It does not define the final project scope.
- Formats, packaging and applications are confirmed per project after technical review, not by this page.
- The program currently screens each powder flavor at 500 kg and each syrup flavor at 500 L per intended commercial order.
- An operating business below the screen today must provide current evidence and a dated near-term path to the relevant threshold.
- The planning screen is not the final MOQ. Actual minimums, price, capacity and timing depend on the reviewed formula, sourcing, packaging, documentation and production setup.
- Formula rights, exclusivity and regulatory responsibilities are set by the written commercial and technical agreement.
- Any prepared beverage shown on this site is an application example; the supplied commercial product is the approved powder or syrup ingredient.
- Manufacturer identity and facility documents are shared with qualified clients under mutual NDA during due diligence.

Test a commercial ingredient program, not a consumer product idea
Apply if the operating business meets the screen now, or has current evidence supporting a dated near-term path. Share the forecast, packaging and launch timing for review.
